"When I think of going to the [AECT] convention ... What I think of is “Who can I meet?” ... I’m always on the look out for people with new, different, strange, or oddball ideas and you don’t find those ideas in sessions.
And he has some intriguing suggestions, including:
No more “blind review” of proposals.
Ban powerpoint presentations -- yea!
No more prepared round table sessions. (not sure about this one).
I think these are good ideas -- and, here's the rub. I found this site because I found Johannes Strobel's card whom I had met the the Orlando AECT conference, went to his blog site and followed a link from there. The power of personal communication!
